We have been super busy with events for the Summer and have just released some feast dates for the Autumn and the Winter. Our authentic Braai Nights in Saturdays and our Sunday Lunches. These are also great opportunities to treat your staff for their hard work during the season or for the year. As always there will be seasonal changes.  

So if you are looking for an authentic foodie experience that’s different?  Then check us out. We farm the land and from time to time when we are not too busy with farm work we down the farm tools, don our aprons and cook over the fires for foodie events. Whether you are potential couples looking to book their wedding here at Drovers, or scouting us out for a corporate gathering thats epic!!, staying guests, live locally or holidaying in the area, you can book and enjoy a real treat.

Please Note we are NOT restaurant.  We serve set menus. What we cook on the day is what you eat. We do cater for dietaries and we have great Vegetarian  mains but you do need to let us know before

IN OUR DNA

We are South African and experts at cooking outdoors on open fires just as the Drovers did here many moons ago. The smokiness adds to the overall flavour of our naturally grown, ethically produced ingredients. You will dine in our heated barn, farm courtyard or outdoors in the fields under the trees. Our fully stocked bar serves farm inspired cocktails as well as a selection of local gins, beers, cider & wine. 

OUR FEASTS EXPLAINED

Our feasts are 3 course set menus mainly on Sundays with additional Saturdays based on demand .  All of our feasts are fire cooked making it an epic experience to be around. Our menus are shared on Socials so do follow us.

We are up in the hills and as a loyal guest put it “an undiscovered gem of a secret I want to keep all to myself so it doesn’t get booked up” 

Our food is a celebration of the seasons, based on fresh seasonal ingredients direct from the fields, grown organically on the farm, locally sourced or foraged from hedgerows around us. We pickle, powder, dehydrate, ferment, make syrups and freeze as much as we can when produce is bountiful to use all year around.

Saturday Braai Nights

A Sat night deserves a spectacular feast. Our Braai nights have risen to the occasion. Expect a 3 course Feast.  We will have 3 different fire stations so you can experience our fire cooking in all its glory. Come enjoy a South African Braai, THE South African social event.  “No-one braais (BBQs)  like a South African!  Come rain or shine you will find a Saffa outside braaing” which is saying something in the British weather. Seating indoors in a heated barn  or outdoors in our courtyard where the fires are. All our food is served as a set menu. What we cook on the day is what you get. Prepare for your tastebuds to be tantalised. Tickets are pre-sold as event tickets. Book early.Braai Night Saturdays

Sunday Lunch

A traditional British Sunday roast cooked South African Style on the fires. Served From 12 noon to 3.00pm, you can enjoy our delicious 3 course roast dinners cooked from scratch on open fires, served on sharing platters.  All of you get 2 meats and all the trimmings served with seasonal veg and the best gravy . BYO

For Sunday lunches and Braai Nights we operate as a BYO.

For Events we organise an EPIC bar for you with locally sourced drinks and the all important Cocktails and Pimp your prosecco station.  Our farm inspired cocktails are lush and we have an in-house mixologist to custom make cocktails for your big event. Be sure to try our
