We have been super busy with events for the Summer and have just released some Fire-cooked Feasts Dates for the best Sunday Lunch in town, this Autumn and Winter. They are 21, 28 Sept, 12 Oct , 9, 16 and 30th Nov and 7th and 14th of Dec. These are also great opportunities to gather with friends and family or to treat your staff for their hard work.  As always there will be seasonal changes in the menus. Do contact us if you would like to book for 20 or more people on an unlisted date 

Drovers Feasts – An authentic foodie experience that’s different and one of the best in town.

Pre booking is essential. We farm the land and from time to time when we are not too busy with farm work we down the farm tools, don our aprons and cook over the fires for foodie events. Whether you are potential couples looking to book their wedding here at Drovers, or scouting us out for a corporate gathering thats epic!!, staying guests, live locally or holidaying in the area, you can book and enjoy a real treat.

Please Note we are NOT restaurant.  We serve set menus. What we cook on the day is what you eat. We do cater for dietaries and we have great Vegetarian  mains but you do need to let us know before hand

IN OUR DNA

We are South African and experts at cooking outdoors on open fires just as the Drovers did here many moons ago. The smokiness adds to the overall flavour of our naturally grown, ethically produced ingredients. You will dine in our heated barn, farm courtyard or outdoors in the fields under the trees. Our fully stocked bar serves farm inspired cocktails as well as a selection of local gins, beers, cider & wine. 

OUR FEASTS EXPLAINED

Our feasts are 3 course set menus mainly on Sundays with additional Saturdays based on demand .  All of our feasts are fire cooked making it an epic experience to be around. Our menus are shared on Socials so do follow us.

We are up in the hills and as a loyal guest put it “an undiscovered gem of a secret I want to keep all to myself so it doesn’t get booked up” 

Our food is a celebration of the seasons, based on fresh seasonal ingredients direct from the fields, grown organically on the farm, locally sourced or foraged from hedgerows around us. We pickle, powder, dehydrate, ferment, make syrups and freeze as much as we can when produce is bountiful to use all year around.

FAQ

How much is it? £60-70 for a 3 course meal.

Can I choose my starter main and dessert? No sorry you can’t, we are not a restaurant but a pop up. We cook when we have time away from our farm work and events

Why do I need to pre-book and pay? We are teeny tiny and cook based on the bookings. If you can’t make it as long as we haven’t started cooking you get a full refund.

Is it cheaper for kids? Yes half price for kids under 12.

Can I bring my dog? Yes we do love dogs..almost more than people x

Do you have a bar? Yes we do but for these feasts you can BYO. Don’t worry if you forget I’m sure we can rustle up something for you

Can I just show up? No sorry we cater based on the bookings on the dates advertised but we do have last minute cancellations so call if its last minute

Do we need to sit outside? We cook outdoors but you sit in our warm and cosy barns. We are saffas we braai (bbq) come rain or shine so don’t worry ab0out us, we love it
